Google Play Order Tracking

Back in November and December 2012, there were thousands of people who went onlilne and managed to grab a Nexus 4 from the Google Play store before stocks ran out. They were excited to be given varying shipping estimate of between 3-5 working days,up to 7-8 weeks. As time passed without a whisper from Google, many customer’s estimates came and went. You can read more about the situation that led to this site being created on our about page.
Promises were made by Google that both service and communication would improve. This topic aims to track the sales of the device and shipping estimates made. It will also give us an insight into the demand for the device that would otherwise depend on Google or LG sharing publicly.
As always, we are independent from the topic’s subject, our only connection is a line of communication with a Google employee.
You will need to check your confirmation email for details, alternatively you can log in to Google Wallet to find out.

Tracking Emails Received
The following statistics show how many people who have placed their orders up to now, (currently within the first week or so), have either received their tracking emails, or the actual device. It’s important to note that even though the current numbers for delivery seem small, there is still plenty of time before their initial 1-2 week shipping estimated are up.
Devices Delivered
At present, roughly half of those who have received their tracking emails have also received their device, which is expected. So far nobody has received their device without receiving a tracking email. This is an improvement from the last batches where there were small numbers who received the device with no information on it’s delivery. Well done Google, keep it up!
